Dr. Zev J. Myerowitz Jr.

A Maine native, Dr. Zev J. Myerowitz Jr. simultaneously completed his doctoral studies at New York Chiropractic College and a Master’s degree at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is Maine’s leading specialist in Active Release Techniques (ART), a patented soft tissue treatment and diagnostic technique. Zev also holds a post-graduate certification in Sports Science and Human Performance, as well as subspecialties in rehabilitation and functional movement. His clinical experience is international, having completed internships at the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China; as well as throughout the VA hospital system in upstate New York. Dr. Zev was recently named the 2017 MCA Doctor of the Year

By attaining the highest levels in academic and clinical training in several synergistic health care disciplines, the team at Cape Integrative Health employ a truly multi-disciplinary skill set in patient-centered care. Results have spoken for themselves, as patient demand has necessitated expansion into a new 7,000 sq foot facility in Cape Elizabeth, ME.

Dr. Zev is passionate about living life to the fullest. He is an accomplished triathlete and cyclist and competes on an international scale, qualifying for and competing in at the highest levels of the sport, including the Hawaii Ironman World Championship.

Dr. Kyle R. Neagle, D.C.

Also a Maine native, Dr. Neagle is a graduate from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 2015. In addition to being full body Active Release Technique certified (ART), Dr. Neagle is in constant pursuit of expanding his knowledge base to better serve patients. He has obtained certifications in McKenzie Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Athletic Movement Assessment (AMA), Clinical Neurodynamics, and most recently became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Prior to Chiropractic school, he played college baseball and graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. Dr. Neagle took particular interest in athletic performance around this time and hasn’t looked back. Beyond traditional athletics, Dr. Neagle is passionate about weight training and physical fitness, as well getting outside. He firmly believes that regular physical activity and frequent movement are key components to a healthy body and a happy mind.

Doctor Neagle’s involvement with groups such as Rehabilitation 2 Performance (R2P) and Motion Palpation Institute (MPI) inspire his movement based, functional approach to assessment and treatment. Whether your goal is to be able to play with the grandkids more comfortably, climb a mountain, or get into the bottom position of the squat without pain, Dr. Neagle is determined to help you reach your potential and get you back to the activities you love to do!

Dr. Erik W. Metzger, D.C.

A Maine native, Dr. Metzger is a graduate of the University of Westen States (UWS) in Portland, Oregon. During his time at UWS, Dr. Metzger’s involvement with the Rehabilitation 2 Performance (R2P) group shaped his patient-centered and functional approach to assessment and treatment strategies. In conjunction with being an Active Release Technique (ART) certified provider, he has pursued a personal and clinical interest in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), a rehabilitation and active care technique based upon developmental movement strategies. Dr. Metzger has attended a wide range of seminars focusing on rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, clinical assessment strategies, pain science and human performance.

Prior to his doctoral studies, Dr. Metzger attended the University of Maine in Orono, where he received his B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. During his time at the University of Maine, he worked as a personal and group exercise instructor at the New Balance Recreation Center, training students, university staff and community residents. During his final year in school, Dr. Metzger completed a clinical internship as a chiropractic assistant where his passion for movement and clinical interest in human anatomy met the perfect blend.

Outside of the office, Dr. Metzger is passionate about getting outside and staying active. His enthusiasm for the outdoors has pushed him to explore and hike in many of the beautiful national parks across the country. Whatever concerns you may have, Dr. Metzger is motivated to empower and involve you in patient care, improve your functional capacity, and get you back to the activities you love.

Dr. Benjamin Rogers, D.C.

A Tennessee native, Dr. Rogers received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee. While in his undergraduate studies he became involved in functional fitness and coached classes involving the Olympic lifts, powerlifts, bodyweight and gymnastics movements. In 2013 he was part of a team from CrossFit Mayhem that went to the CrossFit Games. His passion for proper movement and remaining active are deeply rooted. He spent a short time teaching middle school physical education before pursuing his true calling as a Chiropractor.

Dr. Rogers graduated from Parker University in Dallas, Texas with his DC degree. While in his residency Dr. Rogers was fortunate to be able to learn from some of the best practitioners of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Rehab2Performance (R2P), and Motion Palpation Institute (MPI). In addition to his DC degree, he also obtained an MS in Neuroscience which Dr. Rogers uses to provide another layer of quality care to the central nervous system.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rogers enjoys playing with his four children, spending time with his wife, working out, reading, and getting outside. Dr. Rogers is looking forward to providing quality, comprehensive care while also embracing the beauty that Maine has to offer.

Dr. Brendan McCann, D.C.

Dr. Brendan McCann strives to help everyone in our community to maintain their body the way that top athletes can. Since spine-related problems are among the world’s greatest barriers to maintaining an active, productive lifestyle, he has made front-line spine care his clinical focus. Experience in spine care during his doctoral studies gave him the skill set to manage a wide variety of disorders. His patient-centered approach ensures that treatment focuses on achieving each individual’s health and athletic goals.

While studying Exercise Science at the University of New Hampshire, Dr. McCann had the opportunity to work with Seacoast residents who were trying to stay healthy and active while also balancing full time work. During his Doctorate of Chiropractic studies, theirs were the stories that fueled his desire to provide superior care that would be the most helpful for working class families. Dr. McCann’s clinical education also included working with military veterans in VA outpatient clinics, competitive endurance athletes, and multi-disciplinary spine care through the Rhode Island Spine Center.

He remains a year-round runner, and additionally enjoys cycling and hiking. At home, his garden and cooking are part of a passion for public health through a healthy environment. He works to encourage patients and the community to think and communicate about lifestyle and health

Acupuncture

Amber Myerowitz

M.S., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), L.Ac.

Amber began her study of the human body at the University at Albany State University of New York where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. Her knowledge of anatomy and physiology has helped to shape and inform her work as a clinician.
Amber attended the Finger Lakes school of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (FLSAOM) at the New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) where she was president of her class for 3 years and graduated with a Masters of science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Amber is nationally board certified in Acupuncture by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). As an L.Ac. she has in depth training in a diversity of TCM techniques. Her experience is also international, having completed a clinical internship at the hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. Amber treats a multitude of conditions, and her goals are to prevent disease and promote health, energy and vitality through a team approach between the patient and practitioner. Additionally she has a special interest in fertility support, chemotherapy support and stress management. Along with her eastern medical knowledge she is a certified chiropractic assistant.

Amber truly enjoys the Maine outdoors. Growing up in the Adirondacks, Amber has found much similarity, and enjoys hiking and days spent out on the water. She enjoys volunteering at various animal shelters and is an advocate for the World Wildlife Fund

Genevieve Sprinkle

M.S., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), L.Ac.

Genevieve Sprinkle began her career in healthcare as a licensed massage therapist in Austin, Texas. She specialized in myofascial release and structural integrative techniques. From here, she pursued a graduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin, now AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. She graduated in 2000 with a Master of Science in TCM with a strong focus on Chinese Herbal Medicine. Genevieve is nationally board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, (NCCAOM).

Genevieve had a private practice in Austin, Texas for 17 years. From there she moved back to Maine, her long-time family home where she established another private practice. In 2018 she moved to Portland to join a busy integrative healthcare practice.

In 2023, Genevieve joined the team at Cape Integrative Health as an acupuncturist and herbal practitioner. She believes the integrative approach is the best way to optimize preventative healthcare for all patients.

When not in the office, Genevieve enjoys hiking in New England’s beautiful woods with her dog, Woody and sailing with her partner on their sailboat. She is a passionate supporter of the arts and enjoys attending musical performances, theater and dance. She considers herself a maker and loves to create spiritual spaces for others to enjoy

Dr. James Constantine

DAIM, MSOM, MBA, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM), L.Ac.

James has been interested in Asian philosophy and physical culture since his first kung fu movie marathon on Channel 57. He graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies and a minor in Religion. Before starting a career in Traditional Asian Medicine, he spent seven years in Los Angeles working various film industry jobs, and nine years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Department of Homeland Security.

Dr. Constantine received his Master’s and Doctoral Degrees from the Acupuncture and IntegrativeMedicine College in Berkeley, California. While in attendance, he spent eight months with the SportsMedicine Department at UC Berkeley treating collegiate and Olympic level athletes. James has studiedTraditional Zheng Gu Tuina (Bone Correction Manual Therapy) with Tom Bisio and Dr. Jen Resnick, aswell as Auricular Acupuncture with Dr. Raphaël Nogier in Lyon, France. He is licensed in the state ofMaine and certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National CertificationCommission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

A student of QiGong and the Martial Arts, James holds black belts in Hawaiian Kempo and Wei Kuen Do. In addition, James runs a local Filipino Martial Arts (Doce Pares & Pekiti Tirsia) study group. He is a cigar aficionado, Scotch connoisseur, and a dictionary owner! Dr. Constantine is very happy to be soaking up all the nature, culture, and cuisine that Maine has to offer.

Physical Therapy

Dr. Joshua Bailey, DPT

Joshua received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Colby-Sawyer College, in New London New Hampshire, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. During his time at school, Joshua was a member of the Men’s Basketball and Men’s Soccer Teams. Prior to and while completing his Doctorate studies he worked in the fitness industry, managing two fitness centers and fitness programs, one at the Samoset Resort along the coast of Maine and the second for the University of Southern Maine’s Portland campus.

Previously Joshua has had experience in a hospital based outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Southern Maine, an Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy clinic in Saco, as well as Portland, where he treated a variety of patients with post surgical, sports and chronic injuries. Joshua is currently a certified Mulligan Certified Practitioner and has continued to develop his manual techniques to address acute and chronic orthopaedic injuries. His affiliations include:

Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the APTA, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Joshua has a great interest in the sport of golf and biomechanics of the golf swing and is both a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Fitness Professional and also is a Certified Level II Medical Professional through TPI. Joshua joined CIH in 2017 as a staff clinician in Cape Elizabeth. As an orthopedic specialist his clinical interests include post surgical rehabilitation, sports specific rehabilitation, and assessment of biomechanical abnormalities of the lower extremity and the foot. Joshua is a native of Central Maine and currently resides is Scarborough with his wife and three boys, where they enjoy activities such as hiking, cycling, running, and playing golf.

Dr. Brooke Fleurent PT, DPT, CSCS

A Portland native, Brooke received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science as well as her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. As a former collegiate athlete, Brooke recognizes the importance of proper form and technique as a solid foundation for movement and injury prevention. She is passionate about helping patients of all ages reach their performance goals whether it be on the field or in the community.

A lifelong learner, Brooke has obtained certifications in Graston Technique, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and Mckenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Brooke has advanced specialized training from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute which allows her to treat patients suffering from pelvic pain, bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunction through pelvic floor therapy. Brooke is a certified BIRTHFit Leader as well as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach and is passionate about providing support and education to patients during their prenatal and postpartum journey.

Outside of the office, you can find Brooke playing with her family at Higgins Beach, golfing, and attending local barre, yoga, and spin classes.

Alexandra Kennie, DPT

Alex graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Holistic and Integrative Health, before earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of New England in 2024. Having grown up as a dancer, Alex developed a deep understanding of movement, which now informs her physical therapy practice. She emphasizes a holistic, movement-based approach to help patients achieve their goals.

With a strong interest in pelvic health, orthopedics, and sports physical therapy, Alex is certified in Dry Needling and is actively pursuing further education to enhance her skills in treating various orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions. Her clinical experience includes both outpatient orthopedics and inpatient rehabilitation, enabling her to work with diverse patient populations and diagnoses.

A native of Portland, Maine, Alex stays active with dance and spin classes, and in her downtime, she enjoys painting and getting lost in a good book.

Jennifer Flynn

FNP-C - Family Nurse Practitioner

Jennifer is excited about joining the team at Cape Integrative Health to start the new Walk-In Clinic. Jennifer had many years of experience providing intensive care and emergency nursing services at a busy trauma center. She leveraged this experience and went back to school to secure her post-graduate degree from Simmons College. Jennifer is board certified as a family nurse practitioner. Prior to joining Cape Integrative Health, Jennifer practiced for seven years at Central Maine Pediatrics where she managed a very busy walk-in clinic.

When not at work, Jennifer can be found chasing her busy daughter around or enjoying the outdoors with her family. Jennifer is an avoid long distance runner and skier.

Sydney Gilbert, RN

Registered Nurse

Sydney is a Registered Nurse who received her degree from Southern Maine Community College. She began her nursing career here at Cape Integrative Health. She works closely with our FNP to provide high quality patient care in not only our urgent care and regenerative medicine, but also by providing Botox. She has been certified in both Botox and Filler by Aesthetic Medical Educators Training (AMET). Sydney has a passion for making people feel better, whether that be from an illness, injury, or by giving them confidence through aesthetic medicine.

Outside of working, Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and getting a good workout in at F45.

Whitney Dickerson

Office & HR Manager

Whitney was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. She recently moved to Maine to live closer to her sister and extended family. She has always known she wanted to work in the healthcare field and has enjoyed working at Cape Integrative Health.

In her free time Whitney loves to partake in pilates classes, go for walks at the beach with her dog, and spend as much time as possible with family and friends!

Jamie Holt

Patient Handler

Born and raised 20 miles north of New York, it was always assumed that Jamie would go to work in “the city”, and she did. She worked and lived in the city for nearly 20 years, until it seemed the time to move-on-out. First, Jamie moved to Philadelphia, then Maine, Florida followed, and finally back to Maine…a rolling stone for sure, all in the marketing and copywriting arenas.

As VP Marketing and PR for Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, Jamie had to opportunity to write for some pretty big names including former President Bill Clinton, Beyonce, and NBA star Dwyane Wade.

Now Jamie calls Cape Integrative Health home and family. She now utilizes all of her people-skills working with the tremendously talented staff and remarkable patients.

Allison Mitchell

Senior Patient Care Coordinator

Allison was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts. She came to Maine to attend St. Joseph’s College where she received her BS in Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Marine Sciences. She loved Maine so much she decided to call it home. She has over 10 years experience in customer service and taught early childhood education for 15 years. Outside of work, she likes to spend time with family and friends, explore the ocean and as many beaches as possible, photography, gardening, dancing, music, and her fur babies. She loves the CIH community and helping our staff and patients get the care and attention they need to feel their very best.

Jennifer Caswell

New Patient Coordinator

Jen is a New Englander who has lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. She received an undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Maine in Orono. Starting her working career in the manufacturing support end of the shoe business in New Hampshire, she was then recruited by GH Bass and moved to Maine. Later, to better support family needs, she switched to Special Education and worked in the Cape Elizabeth school district and the Children’s Dyslexic Center in South Portland until her 2 sons graduated highschool and went off to college. As an empty nester she was able to obtain her Master degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and then as a traveling OT, going as far as DeRidder LA and Bakersfield CA. After 2 years of Covid-19 protocols in nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities, she decided to dial it down and stay closer to home, where she landed the great opportunity to work at CIH as part of an amazing support staff. She lives here in Cape Elizabeth with her wonderful husband Harold. Gardening, yoga, reading, needlepoint, volunteering and many outdoor and water activities keep her engaged and happy all year long.

Jessica Ciccio

Patient Care Coordinator

Originally from New Jersey, Jessica grew up an avid soccer player and dancer. She then embarked on an epic journey that took her to England, where her husband served in the US Air Force. Over their four years abroad, they explored more than 30 countries and fell in love with the countless new cultures and values they discovered.

While in England, Jessica pursued her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management from Georgia Military College, blending her passion for healthcare with leadership. Now residing in Maine, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, driven by her dedication to continuous growth.

Beyond her professional career, Jessica finds joy in traveling whenever and wherever she can. At home, she is a devoted pet parent to two cats, Chuck and Jasper, and above all else, values quality time with her family.

Laurie Ammann

Patient Care Coordinator

Even though Laurie was not born and raised in Maine, she considers Maine her home after 20 plus years. Laurie came to Maine with her husband to enjoy all that the Maine outdoors has to offer. Laurie has many years of experience in office administration and customer-focused roles. She enjoys meeting and talking to people in her day-to-day position. In Laurie’s free time, she enjoys being active on the water, gardening, and enjoying family and friends.
