Do I need a referral to come and see you?
Referrals are only needed if your insurance requires them. We recommend giving your insurance carrier a call prior to your appointment to check and see if they require a referral for Chiropractic, Acupuncture, or Physical Therapy.
Is Physical Therapy just about doing a bunch of exercises?
No, all of our Physical Therapists utilize a wide variety of treatment options that are custom tailored to you, including hands-on manual therapy.
Can I pay cash for your services rather than use insurance?
Yes! Give us a call at (207) 799-9950 to inquire about cash rates for all of our services.
What do you mean by “patient-centered” care?
The traditional model of healthcare here in the United States is largely focused on treating disease and symptoms without considering the unique, individual variables that are present for each patient. Typically, this looks like being given an intervention that is status quo/cookie cutter for your condition without regard to you and your own body. You may have the same disease or injury as someone else, but how you got there and what you need can be completely different. We are focused on personalizing your care to give you the best possible outcome.
If my care is going to involve more than one of your providers or services, do I need to constantly play the middleman like I would at a larger healthcare facility?
Definitely not! We keep track of your individual treatment plan and are always communicating with one another to give you the best continuity of care.
My therapist recommended that I give Acupuncture a try to help with my anxiety. What’s the connection?
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine help to restore balance to all aspects of your body, including cognitive and emotional function. When your body is in a state of balance, it’s in a much better position to help you heal from anything that may be ailing you. This makes it a versatile and highly applicable form of medicine.
What about severe osteoarthritis that hasn’t responded to the traditional care? Do you treat that?
Absolutely! We treat cases like this every single day. We are happy to be able to use cutting edge therapeutics in our Regenerative Medicine department and stack them with all of our other services to deliver the best possible treatment for Osteoarthritis.
